Welcome To Puppyville!!!!!

---------------

Hey, I am Johanna! You might recognize me from Puppville or my litter mates, the Bosqueville Seven!!! Well, most of my brothers and sisters have gone home with kids, moms, dads and even some grandma and grandpa's! My brother, Trevin and I are the only stars left! Trevin is way cool but I don't want to talk about him...I wanna talk about ME, ME, ME!!!

I was born with a leg deformity. The tendons in my front legs are stretched out too much and need to be retracted for me to walk correctly. My new splints will hopefully correct this problem in the next two months. Then, I will be ready to go home and run and play like my brothers and sisters.

Don't let my splints fool you...I am still a ball of energy and without these red and white striped accessories you would think I just had a limp! Being the star that I am, I stay busy, but I will be accepting visitors Monday thru- Saturday 10-5pm!!!! Come by and rub my legs for good luck or more importantly, make a donation to help defray the cost of my vet care, leg splints and special bedding!

The "Bosqueville Seven"

The sky was turning black, the air was getting thick, a storm was headed to Waco. A Fuzzy Friends Rescue employee was home eating dinner when her cell phone rang. It was a board member who had been on a walk with his own dog. He had noticed a group of puppies, seven to be exact, near a country road. They were starved, homeless, and their mother was no where in sight. Were the puppies dumped without their mother? Were they a burden? Was the mother attacked by a wild animal? All of the questions overwhelmed him. The answer...they had to be rescued! The employee quickly enlisted her husband, the board member and a friend to help.

Eva

Trevin

They had to act fast as the storm was headed their way. Once they arrived, the puppies ran for cover. It was obvious they had never been handled by humans. It was only with a solid commitment and determination that these puppies were rescued. In the darkness with flashlights we began reaching under an enormous boulder. The puppies were rescued one by one. Rescuers ignored the unpleasant conditions and obstacles in order to rescue all seven. After successfully catching six of them, they noticed one was still there, cowered in the back of this cave-like den. Over coming the fear of what they might encounter, twenty-five feet in a densely over grown ravine, these animal heroes finally rescued lucky number seven!

Arthur

Margaret

They have been dubbed "The Bosqueville Seven". Once they arrived at FFR, comfortable kennels were set-up with ample food and water. It was obvious, much time had passed since they had consumed food or water. All seven have been to the vet and received a clean bill of health.

Johanna

It has been touching to see how their fear has melted into trust. The love and care they have received at FFR literally has made all the difference. These fearful puppies that were destined to die a horrible death now have hope. Lyrica, Whitman, Arthur, Margaret, Trevin, Johanna and Eva have all been spayed or neutered and are waiting for their loving homes. The exciting news is that Lyrica, Whitman and Arthur have already made a love connection and are headed home!

Mitzi's Puppies

Mitzi

Mitzi is a Malti-Poo and her babies are Amos and Andy. Mitzi was found running stray on the streets of Waco pregnant. We are not sure why she was dumped on the streets, but it was probably because she was pregnant and the owners did not want to deal with the burden of her pregnancy. Mitzi and her puppies will not be ready until mid July, but please reserve one of these precious babies with an approved application!
