Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Fuzzy Friends Rescue! As a volunteer, you play a vital role in giving our animals what they need most – personal attention, hands-on care, and love. We want to do everything possible to make your volunteer experience positive and rewarding. It doesn’t matter how you choose to spend your time at Fuzzy Friends Rescue, we appreciate, respect, and value the gifts that each volunteer brings to our rescue. Thank you so much for partnering with us!
We have so many wonderful volunteer opportunities available! To help you decide which volunteer opportunity is right for you, here is an overview of how you can help animals as volunteer at Fuzzy Friends Rescue:
- Kennel Work
We always need assistance with cleaning kennels, doing the laundry and overall general daily maintenance.
- Walking/Socializing Dogs
All of our dogs need daily walks and one-on-one time for exercise and socialization.
- Cat Room
Our cats and kittens need their litter boxes and cages cleaned daily. They also enjoy one-on-time such as petting, playing, and being brushed.
Help keep our dogs looking their best!
All of our animals need great photos for potential adopters to see on the adoption websites such as Petfinder and Petango. Please email email@example.com with questions or for more information.
If you have a flare for creative writing, then this is the opportunity for you! We are always in need of volunteers to write fun, catchy captions and descriptions of our animals to be used to promote adoptions.
- General Help
We have to keep our rescue looking tidy, so sweeping, mopping, and dusting are always important!
- Clerical Work
If you enjoy working in an office setting, we are always in need of volunteers to assist the office staff with answering phones, processing adoptions, greeting and assisting clients, and special projects. Training for this volunteer position is required. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
- Grounds Maintenance
If you love being outside, we could really use your help to keep our grounds well-manicured and looking pretty for our clients.
- Off-Site Events
All of our animals are looking for their forever home! This opportunity gives you a chance to spend time promoting our animals and educating potential adopters.
- Special Events – Table/Booth
Donate your time to help with some of our annual events such as Barkin’ Ball, Pooches on Parade, or Home For The Holidays as well occasional offsite adoption events.
- READ Program
In conjunction with our Adopt-A-School partner, Cedar Ridge Elementary we take dogs out on a bi-weekly basis to assist the children in developing their READing skills. This opportunity does require a commitment for the duration on the school year as well as handling dogs in a public environment. Please email email@example.com with questions or for more details.
- SMILES Program
We visit area nursing homes with our dogs, to bring SMILES to the residents and brighten their day! This opportunity does require a time commitment, as well as experience with handling dogs in a public environment. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with questions or for more details.
- Foster Parent
Open your home to a dog or cat in need as a volunteer foster parent. Please email email@example.com with questions or for more details.
