Tammy Shefa

Tammy Shefa works as the Territory Manager in Dallas, Texas for Creative Co-op, having been in that position for four years now. Tammy is a community volunteer and avid animal lover. Tammy and her husband Barry are both modeling today with their dogs Chanel and Ty. She was a long time Fuzzy Friends Rescue board member but still continues to do philanthropy work across Waco!

Barry Shefa

Barry Shefa is employed by McLennan County Hospitalist Service and has practiced medicine in Waco for seventeen years. He is married to his wife of sixteen years, Tammy, and they have Chanel, a Yorkshire Terrier who was rescued from a dire situation. Today, Barry is escorting Ty, a Chorky mix that he and his wife adopted from Fuzzy Friends Rescue!

Courtney Wollard

Courtney Restivo Wollard is a lifelong Waco resident who works as the Emergency Preparedness Supervisor at the Waco-McLennan County Public Health District. She is a graduate of Reicher Catholic High School and graduated with both her Master of Public Health and Bachelor of Science in Education from Baylor University. She is married to Kyle Wollard, and they have two rescue fur babies – Bentley, a Terrier Cairn Poodle mix and Pepper, a Staffordshire Terrier mix. Ever since Courtney was young, she has been rescuing stray dogs to ensure they get back to their families so Fuzzy Friends is very near to Courtney’s heart.

Fran Shelton

Fran’s love for animals brought her to FFR and the mission has kept her there. Fran has helped save many lives and has been involved with our organization from its inception.

Amy Hunter Roberts

Amy Hunter Roberts-is the former owner of Jeff Hunter Toyota. She currently has 4 rescue dogs from FFR. Amy has been a supporter of Fuzzy Friends Rescue for over 18 years. She has served on the board and as board chair. Amy has been involved with animal rescue for years and years. She definitely has the “Adopt don’t Shop” mindset! Tonight, she is modeling one of our wonderful and available dogs from Fuzzy friends.

Brooklyn Sawyer

Brooklyn Sawyer is a 15-year-old Sophomore at Vanguard College Preparatory School who’s always on the go! Whether she’s cheering under the Friday night lights, scoring goals on the soccer field, or laughing with friends, Brooklyn brings energy and confidence everywhere she goes. The daughter of John and Esme Sawyer and the youngest of three, she’s got the smarts, the style, and the sparkle to match!

Mosie Holley

Mosie Holley currently is a CPA and the Chief Financial Officer of Central National Bank. She has served the bank for 27 years, whereas she oversees financial operations and contributes significantly to the bank’s strategic planning and fiscal management. Her professional career also includes her work as a tax manager in public accounting at JRBT in Waco. Mosie has a strong academic and educational background, graduating from Baylor University with a BBA in marketing and accounting, attending MCC to obtain a minor in real estate, and graduating as Valedictorian of her West High School Class. Mosie is a dedicated professional and community leader known for her extensive involvement in many organizations in Waco. She is currently serving as President of Oakwood Cemetery Board, President of the MCC Foundation Board, while driving and delivering meals on a weekly Meals On Wheels route. She has served as Treasurer and on the Executive Committees of Meals On Wheels Waco, Compassion Waco, Midway Education Foundation, National Charity League, United Way of McLennan County, Waco Cotton Palace, Inc., Lyric Opera of Waco, and Learning Disabilities Association of McLennan County. She has served on the Boards of the Junior League of Waco, Dr. Pepper Museum, YMCA, and Waco Symphony Council. She is a Past-President of Meals On Wheels Waco and Compassion Waco, led the 2016 Symphony Belles Presentation, and was the 2018 General Chairman for Waco Cotton Palace/Festival on The Brazos. She received the 2024 Waco Athena Award for outstanding leadership and volunteerism. Her career and volunteer work reflect a deep commitment to service and leadership across multiple sectors, and a love of the Waco community.

Gia Turner

Gia Turner is a 7th grader at Vanguard College Preparatory School. Gia loves animals and caring for them. Gia loves giving back to her community by serving in the National Charity League with her mom, where she likes to volunteer at Fuzzy Friends Rescue.

Chip Wilson

Chip Wilson is a lifelong entrepreneur and the owner of 360 Solutions. He has spent a lifetime serving on boards and trying to do his small part to make the world a better place. He’s a father, friend, coach, and proud Wacoan! He wasn’t born here, but he got here as fast as he could.

Berkley Knas

Berkley Knas, an Amarillo native and University of Texas at Austin alumna, moved to Waco in 2007 to attend Baylor Law School. Upon Baylor Law graduation, Berkley stayed in Waco and served as the Assistant Dean of Alumni Relations and Communications at Baylor Law. Since having children, Berkley has fully committed her life to serving the Waco community – with fervent energy! Berkley currently serves on multiple boards throughout Central Texas including Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Development Advisory Board, McLane Children’s Hospital Development Advisory Boards, Baylor University’s Mayborn Museum Board of Advocates, Council for Life Central Texas, Live Oak Classical School Parent Council, Chair of the Baylor Club Board of Governors, and the Cameron Park Zoological & Botanical Society Board of Directors. Berkley is married to Kyle Knas, partner at Naman Howell. They have two children Sawyer, 10, and Bebe, 8, and two fuzzy friends, Toy Poodles, Lizzie, 4, and Buttons (Lizzie’s daughter), 3. Doodles, who would be 17, will forever be in their hearts. Berkley, Sawyer and Bebe can be spotted after school at Fuzzy Friends Rescue walking the dogs and feeding the cats and kittens— and Bebe creates art to display on each kennel at Fuzzy Friends!

Brittney Corley

Brittney Corley is pure sparkle with a Texas heart and a Rio-sized spirit. Originally from Abilene, she came to Waco to attend Baylor University, where she earned her degree in fashion and found a lifelong love for style, people, and community. Brittney and her husband, Clay Corley, are proud parents to two wonderful boys, Cason and Nash—her favorite “little crew” and the center of her world. Many Waco locals know Brittney from her years as the owner of Rock Bottom Boutique, where she helped countless clients feel confident, beautiful, and seen—one outfit (and one honest, hilarious pep talk) at a time. Today, she’s embracing life as a devoted wife and mother, while continuing to pour her energy into serving others as a passionate community volunteer. Brittney’s energy doesn’t stop there—she’s also a competitive tennis player who travels for tournaments and loves playing doubles. Through the years, she’s made countless friends on and off the court, building community everywhere she goes with her signature warmth and contagious enthusiasm. With a personality that’s BIG, bright, and unforgettable, Brittney truly hasn’t met a stranger. She loves everyone, laughs loudly, and is always on the move—whether she’s cheering on her boys, traveling for tennis, or showing up for causes close to her heart. Tonight, she’s thrilled to join Pooches on Parade and support the incredible mission of Fuzzy Friends Rescue—because for Brittney, giving back is always in style.

Chelsea McLeod

Chelsea McLeod is a lifelong animal advocate and devoted “dog mom” to five rescue pups. A Central Texas native, Chelsea has spent a decade as a Speech-Language Pathologist in acute and long-term care rehabilitation, a career she continues to advance as a PhD student in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Baylor University. In addition to her clinical work, she serves as the Director of Philanthropy and Community Outreach for The McLeod Company. Her commitment to the FFR community is deeply personal, as she has spent years saving, rescuing, and rehoming numerous “fuzzy friends” of her own. For Chelsea, supporting FFR is a natural extension of her belief that every animal deserves a second chance at a full and happy life.

Little Newman Richards

Newman is a freshman in high school at Vanguard College Preparatory School. He is an avid outdoorsman…he loves fishing, hunting, shooting and archery. Hobbies include riding his dirt bike and playing with his bird dogs, Birdie and Bobby. He also loves sports, particularly Baylor basketball and football, and he plays on the Vanguard basketball and tennis teams. Today he is modeling with his dog Bobby.

Newman Richards

Newman Richards is a Waco native. His wife Brooke is a former member of the Fuzzy Friends Rescue Board of Directors. They have a son, Newman, and two dogs—Bobby, a Gordon Setter, and Birdie, a German Shorthaired Pointer, who he is walking with today. Newman spends his free time hunting, fishing, and spending time with family. The Richards are a pet-loving family that loves Fuzzy Friends Rescue and its mission.

Michelle Schmidt

Michelle Schmidt is a 20-year-old animal lover. She has a charitable heart and enjoys helping others in need. She has dedicated many hours to the style show over the years by helping design costumes and with measuring and fittings for the runway dogs. She is an artist who enjoys crocheting, painting, gaming, and line dancing on the weekends. She devotes much of her free time to her 3 cats.

Carlyn Davis

Carlyn Davis is a Waco native and graduate of Vanguard College Preparatory School and the SMU Cox School of Business, where she earned her BBA in Finance. She began her career at PlainsCapital Bank in Dallas, where she spent three years working as a Credit Analyst and later as a Portfolio Manager in the Banker Development Program before returning home to Waco this summer to join her family’s firm, Mattson Financial Services. Carlyn and her husband, Spencer, are high school and college sweethearts who share two cats, Ollie and Puma, and their new German Shepherd puppy. Carlyn is being escorted by her childhood dog, Maui, a Bernese Mountain Dog, and is proud to support Fuzzy Friends Rescue and its mission to help animals find loving homes.

Spencer Davis

Spencer Davis was born and raised in Waco and is a graduate of Vanguard College Preparatory School and the SMU Dedman College of Humanities and Sciences, where he earned his degree in Economics. After spending three years in Dallas working with Fischer Real Estate, Spencer and his wife, Carlyn, moved back home to Waco this summer to join her family’s business, Mattson Financial Services. High school and college sweethearts, the two share their home with two cats, Ollie and Puma, and their new German Shepherd puppy. Spencer is being escorted by Carlyn’s childhood dog, Maui, a Bernese Mountain Dog, and is proud to support the lifesaving work of Fuzzy Friends Rescue
