Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Fuzzy Friends Rescue! As a volunteer, you play a vital role in improving our animals’ daily lives. It doesn’t matter how you choose to spend your time at Fuzzy Friends Rescue; we appreciate each volunteer’s contributions.
There are so many ways to help! To help you decide which volunteer opportunity is right for you, here is an overview of how you can help animals as volunteer at Fuzzy Friends Rescue:
General Rescue Maintenance
We always need assistance with cleaning dog kennels and cat cages, doing the laundry and dishes, and keeping our rescue looking tidy and clean. If you enjoy being outside, we could really use your help to keep our grounds well-manicured and looking pretty for our clients and safe for our animals.
If you enjoy working in an office setting, we are in need of volunteers to assist the office staff with answering phones, processing adoptions, greeting, assisting clients, and special projects. Training for this volunteer position is required.
Writing Animal Profiles
If you have a flare for creative writing, then this is the opportunity for you! We are always in need of volunteers to write fun, catchy captions and descriptions of our animals to be used to promote adoptions.
Help our animals put their best paw forward for potential adopters! The cats and dogs will need your help to become more confident around things found in our strange human world. Individuals interested in this volunteer opportunity will be required to attend training.
All of our dogs need daily physical exercise and mental stimulation. Spend one-on-one time with our pups by letting them explore our grounds with their noses or getting out their zoomies in our play yards. Individuals interested in this volunteer opportunity will be required to attend training and mentoring with our volunteer coordinators.
Donate your time by helping us at community events where we promote our animals and educate potential adopters. We host occasional adoption events, fundraisers like the Zombie Run and Barkin’ Ball, or may have a table at a community event. We need help before, during, and after these events. For events that require animal handling, volunteers will be required to attend training.
Additional volunteer opportunities may arise on an as needed basis, such as helping with a grounds project or doing arts & crafts to promote our adoptable animals. These opportunities are ideal for those who wish to volunteer as a group and our helpers under the age of 16.
